Just about every C programmer I respect learned C from this book. If you want to know how to program in C, the once and future language of all computing, you must buy this book. The quicksort implementation using pointers for example.

Beaten only by the even more minimalist Coral- Ubiquitously known as “Kernighan and Ritchie”, this slim volume was the must read of its day and despite its deceptively few pages, was a marvellous cure for insomnia. I read this years ago when I was first taking C. Now this same help is available to those working with ANSI compilers.
