It appears that a lot of the torture descriptions were removed, most likely for the better. You just have to read to know how people treat him and how his parents blamed and cast him away for their own sins.

I didn’t buy the the fact that Sin forgave his stepmother so easily at the end. All of the above.
I ignored it coz Kacgregor thought she won’t beat my favourite Highland authors. It was great to read Callie telling him how mad she is for him and showing him not only by making love but in other ways too. There is just something about tortured heroes that is utterly compelling to me, and Sin’s character was right up my alley.
Callie was a breath of fresh spring air, loyal but not blindly so. He does this because he wants to save Callie from a humiliating examination by Henry. I was so glad when he admits to himself as well as her that he loves her. But when not running interference or dashing off to the emergency roomshe can be found chained to her computer where she likes to play with all her imaginary friends.
It shouldn’t be missed by those who are fond of a tortured and brooding hero. This story is both heart 4. Only Sin seems to be aware and to care about the precarious position he’s been placed. Re-read from my youth. So begins a gloriously adorable and romantic mutual wooing. I’m a big fan of tortured, reclusive heroes who aren’t giant assholes. Lists with This Book. In conclusion, I cannot express enough the necessity of reading this book. Sin, the bastard son of an unloving father and hateful mother had such a horrendous childhood that no one even considered the possibility of redemption.

Basically, there were many good things about Born In Sinand few bad ones. When I started reading in this genre again, I read other books in the series and couldn’t really say that I liked any of them. The sub plot with the raider was well done. I can recommend this book unreservedly, and say honestly that while this is my first book by Ms.
